Makoko: The City on Stilts

Scott and I visited Makoko on May 31, 2023. It was his day 310 of his global south trip and my first time of visiting the shanty town.

I co-wrote this article alongside Scott to explore a functioning and self-governing community that has no form of public good support and limited interference from the government.
